Volkswagen Up – 87.9% pass rate
Substantially more examples of the Up were tested than the Citigo in 2016. Why? Well obviously the Up is more popular. It also came to market slightly earlier and was more popular with fleet buyers than its Skoda or SEAT counterparts.
What does that mean when it comes to MoT testing? Not much. There’s essentially nothing in it. Still, we’d recommend the Skoda simply because you’ll likely find a better example for your £5000 budget. Reverse badge snobbery can make good financial sense.
