Land Rover Defender 110 – 77.0% pass rate

The Defender might have been able to tackle all manner of tough off-road terrain, but it struggled with passing its first MoT assessment. This could be in part down to the hard life that many lead, with two per cent failing for suspension issues. 

One area where it outperformed the average was tyres, where only 1.5% failed – possibly because rural work is less likely to wear down the hard-wearing tyres than motorway miles.
