Vauxhall Zafira - 84.5% pass rate

The Vauxhall Zafira’s first-year MoT pass rate is a good indicator of the model’s performance across all manner of ages – just above average. The 84.5 per cent pass rate is good, but not exceptional.

Its lights are its weak point, with wonky headlight aim and faulty lamps the two most notable causes of failure. It performs better than most when it comes to the driver’s view of the road, though, outperforming the average by 26 per cent. However, it is worth checking the washers – 1.4 per cent failed because of this. The problem could be as simple as an empty reservoir, which is a silly and costly reason for having to retake a test.
