On average, 34.6% of cars will fail their MoT test in Outer Hebrides, which puts the region below the national average of 35.0%. The most common failure causes are Suspension, Brakes and Lamps, Reflectors and Electrical Equipment, while 4.7% will fail on exhaust, fuel and emissions.
Cars registered in 2003 have the worst overall MoT pass rate, at 50.1%. The manufacturers with the highest fail rate in this region are Citroen, Mitsubishi and Renault. At the opposite end of the scale with the best pass rates are SEAT, BMW and Skoda.
