One of the most surprising aspects to come out of The MoT Files is the amount of regional variations. You wouldn't have thought that the MoT test (and whether you pass or fail) would vary that much - but it does. In fact, every single one of the postcode areas in our top ten is in the South East. Croydon is within the M25, like most of the post code areas in this list, which probably means the very same factors have shaped the data – cars aren’t as heavily relied upon in London and, when they are used, they don’t undergo the same stresses as those in more rural areas.
