One of the most surprising aspects to come out of The MoT Files is the amount of regional variations. You wouldn't have thought that the MoT test (and whether you pass or fail) would vary that much - but it does. In fact, every single one of the postcode areas in our top ten is in the South East. Kingston-upon-Thames (KT) – 66% pass rate
Yet another post code area within the M25, the KT has an MoT pass rate 6% higher than the nationwide average, for similar reasons to other areas in this list – cars tend to be newer here and they will typically cover relatively few miles in fairly kind road conditions.
