The MoT Files: The first MoT - bottom 10 cars
At the bottom of the table for cars passing their MoT first time there's a definite trend towards French brands and - surprisingly given its reputation - Volkswagen. Rather than being company car 'repmobiles' many of the cars in the bottom 10 are actually family cars and people carriers, which is not what you'd expect.

Ford Galaxy 77% pass rate
Given the sheer number of Ford cars on the road it's perhaps surprising to not see more models from the manufacturer in the bottom 10. The Galaxy people carrier, a favourite among the more upmarket private hire firms, tends to fail on headlights, brake lights and indicators.
