MoT Data for Romford
If you want to pass your MoT test, Romford is the place to do it. The Romford postcode area (RM) has a better MoT pass rate than any other in the country. All of the main items tested perform better than the national average - significantly so in most cases.
Every year of registration does well, with many performing 25 per cent or more better than the average for that year. In a couple of cases in the 1980s, it's as much as 50 per cent or more. Compare that to the worst place on the map - Dundee - and you'll see the differences.
Lotus is the only manufacturer that prevents the RM from a clean sweep of above average results. It's an anomaly, but Lotus has an 103 per cent higher failure rate in Romford than it does elsewhere in the UK. But with just 180 tested over the course of a year (17 per month), that should be treated with caution.
Proving that this is a regional trend, nearby Ilford and Enfield have similarly impressive scores.
