Ray Williams of Burnham, Slough

My 2nd visit was due to a new problem in my car (Exhaust). All 3 sections of my car exhaust needed changing; this was confirmed by 2 other mechanics. I bought the parts from the web and requested Ray Williams of Burnham Garage to fix the parts, which they did in a record time. I was surprised when i was told that i will be charged for only 1 hour labour, in my estimation it was at least 1.5 hours work. Job was very well done; my 2nd visit was super satisfactory. My Ray William is a through gentleman and a generous human being.

My car was in a bad shape (rear brakes) when i took it to Ray Williams of Burnham. Car condition was assessed and it was decided that car was not driveable. As it was late in the afternoon i was generously given a replacement vehicle by the garage, which greatly helped me. As the car was under warranty, it was also handled by garage with lot of patience. My car was fixed very professionally and at a very reasonable cost. I will recommend this garage 24/7 & 365 days a year to all who are looking for honest & professional service.

Used a second-hand water pump that didn't work. The second time it was fixed. Please don't use this garage. Damaged the side of my van and done nothing to fix this.

I am a Fleet Manager and have only good things to say about this garage. The fastest most efficient garage ever. All the work is explained and shown before agreeing costs. Great teamwork between all the mechanics; I have taken in a dozen or so vehicles in the last 6 months and I have had no issues whatsoever.

I would recommend Ray and his team to anyone and everyone. He is honest, fair, reasonably priced and what he doesn't know about your car he will find out. He is an exceptional mechanic with a outstanding level of customer care and attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble for him.

Always put my car in with full tank and recieve it back with almost nothing left. Put in my car for a cheap repair of one thing, they found another issue which costed £1300 to fix. Called me once but I couldn't answer as I was working so they decided to fix this anyway. This repair cost more than the car and I could have bought a replacement car for less and the car would have run without this repair anyway. Car broke down 2 days after being cleared by the garage anyway! Very angry and disappointed with this service!

I scheduled the car in for a regular service and I have a set of wheels where the wheel nut holes needed the bore increased by 1mm and re-balancing to fit my current car. Ray's team completed the service and Ray worked with a local precision engineer to get everything done for a great price.

Called Ray Williams when I had a fault message appear on my screen. I lost air conditioning and power. Ashley took my call and he was so helpful and professional and said even though they were bust he could see me at 2pm that day and do a diagnostic test. Sure enough at 2pm I was seen. Ashley was hands on showed me what he was doing and basically told me I had a fan issue and should not drive it as no fan to cool the engine at all. He said I may need a fan controller and a fan assembly and would order both parts. He kept me up to date and with progress and prices. He also gave me a courtesy car which was fantastic and helped me out while the repair was carried out. Over and above what I expected in the customer service dept. He called and said the parts would not arrive the next day but the day after and when they did arrive they called to say he only needed to replace the cheaper part - the fan controller and he had everything back as it was before the issue. I can't recommend Ray Williams and team highly enough for there professionalism and quality of service. I am one happy customer. Ashley's level of customer service was exceptional from start to finish which again showed his knowledge and experience. Thanks again Ray Williams and team especially Ashley and I will be coming back and will recommend to friend and relations. Well Done again.

I had the distinct pleasure to meet everyone at the garage this morning. I am a newly qualified driver with a Peugeot 207CC which I bought with 102K mileage/2007. I had so many issues with it in the last month, took it to 2 other garages and nobody was able to tell me what was wrong with the car. Today morning I took it to this garage and the owner and the 2 staff were extremely lovely, very knowledgable and experienced and as soon as they opened the car, they told me the issue. Me being a new driver and "stupid about cars", they took the time to show me everything that is needed fixing, explained it in a language that i could easily understand and fixed every little small bits for a very good price. They are extremely great at service, repairing, explaining, helping, etc. and I will never ever use any other garage, but them. They are extremely cheap with prices compared to the quality of the service which is the highest, so I am extremely happy with them and highly recommend them to anyone!!! Especially Peugeot drivers who have issues with antipollution system fail error! Thank you Ray and Joe, and everyone else who helped me today! Anett

I called Ray and asked for a price for a new clutch,he gave a price and said it included VAT. When I went to collect the car, the price had doubled as he'd carried out work that had not been agreed,and justified it by claiming it was for my own safety. When I challenged him, he started telling me about the monthly outgoings he had for running the garage!! DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE! His answer to paying the bill is do you have a credit card? It appears that this was not an isolated event and is common practice based on other reviews I read afterwards!

I've used this garage a couple of times, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The old boys mannerisms are appalling, and he doesn't listen to anything. All you will get is a bill for something that you didn't need doing, and the initial problem will still be there. I ended up going to a specialist who fixed the problem for a fraction of the price, and they didn't advise me about scrapping my car!! The best part is having to listen to the owner talking about his fancy holidays while he keeps you waiting to pay for the disservice. Shocking, and you would be better to go elsewhere. BTW, my car is still on the road, and I’ve managed to find someone that can repair my car at a fraction of the cost. Don’t believe a word about them being a Citroen specialist.

I found Ray's about 7years ago now and recommend to everyone I know. Ray is always very helpful and gives tips on how to save money on the bits I can do myself. The staff are all friendly and helpful and it is so nice to have a garage that won't rip me off. I can't think of a single negative thing about this Garage. Ray offers to drive me to work, when I drop my car off for any work and will also offer to pick me back up. very genuine guy.

Ray Williams has attended on my Citroens 3 BX's 2 Picassos, 1 Xantia, 1 Xsara Coupe over nearly twenty years. While the continuity benefits me, I have never been let down. Proposed repairs have always been fully explained and estimated, and vehicles have kept running reliably. I have been delighted by the service provided by this outfit, sadly I have left the district.

I have used Ray Williams, a Citroen/Peugeot/Renault/Bosch specialist numerous times over the past 6/7 years. I have used this garage for regular services, MOT tests and one-off repairs- eg fitting new front springs, or for electrical repairs. I have always found Ray and his staff to be extremely straightforward, fair-dealing and good value. I have no hesitation in giving Ray Williams a hearty recommendation.
