Jaguar X-Type - worth keeping?

I own an X-Type 2.0d SE saloon which was bought 3 years ago (£2700) with 130,000 miles. I have recently noticed that sometimes on lift-off of throttle engine revs take a couple of seconds to drop. I wonder if the lack of oil consumption/lack of drop in revs/black smoke is symptomatic of general wear?
May be turbo bearing oil seals, may be valve stem oil seals, may be worn injectors. Worth trying a fuel system cleaner and running exclusively on shell v power nitro plus to see if that helps. Next step, replace the 'banjo' oil feed and oil return pipe to the turbo. After that, a replacement turbo or replacing the valve stem oil seals gets expensive.
