Water in oil filter - how can I fix it?
I have a highly embarrassing problem: Top-up water has inadvertently been poured into the oil filler of my 2002 Porsche Boxster, the engine has NOT been run.
The car is in a difficult position to jack and drain via the drain plug, and cannot be moved. I am hoping to siphon the contents of the sump via the oil filler. Please advise if this might work, am desperate. Thank you.
Don't try anything. Get it trailered to a Porsche specialist and make absolutely certain that neither he nor the recovery guys make any attempt to start the engine. A new engine is £12,000. Seek advice elsewhere, but to make sure that no one tries to start it it may be beneficial to disconnect the battery. Even when told not to under any circumstances, these recovery guys often try to start the engine and it can be impossible to prove they did this and caused any damage.
