Should I pay for a fuel emission service?
I have just booked my Superb Estate into Skoda for a 32,000 mile service + MoT. Among other extras offered is a "fuel emission service", I asked what it consisted of I was told it cleans the sludge in the fuel tank which can cause emission increase and a fail of the MoT.
I've never heard of it before and wonder if you would recommend paying the £17 for it?
This will be a Forte fuel system cleaner added to the tank. Unnecessary if you run the car on Shell V-Power Nitro Plus, which already contains all the additives the engine needs.
