Service manual missing from my Golf - what do I do?
I bought a used 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI from the dealer in Southend (part of Inchcape) in November 2012. It was owned from new by another Inchcape dealership and they must have lost the service manual.
Five months later I'm still trying to get a service manual from Volkswagen Southend. So far I've been dealing with the used car sales manager who no doubt is only interested in selling more cars.
Any thoughts on how I can make them take my issue seriously? The delivery papers show that the manual is "to follow."
The value of the service manual is around £1,500 because without it the car is worth £1,500 less and is not complete without it. So tell them you are going to sue them for this amount using www.moneyclaim.co.uk .
