How can I find out the correct servicing intervals for my car?

I bought a car in March 2025 from a main dealer with a full service history (which keeps the warranty on the car). I have just been to sell this car and have been told that the service history is incorrect as it should have been every 12 months or 10000 miles. What do I do?
Some vehicles come with variable service intervals where a number of parameters are monitored and a message is displayed in the instrument panel that a service is required. A 12 month/10,000 mile service interval is commonplace but not universal, so we would suggest checking the vehicle handbook or contacting a main dealer for the brand of vehicle to confirm the correct interval for your car.
