I wanted an oil and filter change, as the car requires high grade oil, I asked to speak to service manager as I knew it would be more than the advertised price of £70, agreed to supply oil & filter and was only charged for labour to change. It was approx. £30 which I was very happy with. A professional and considerate team, both my cars will be looked after by these guys now.

I've been using Spratley's for a good few years and have always found them to be extremely friendly, polite, knowledgeable and offering great value. My recent visit proved just how honest they are, as they saved me a lot of money and to my mind went over and above the usual call of duty. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, service like this is sadly lacking nowadays so it's great to see some places still value their customers.

I have used Spratleys of Mortimer for 15 years for car servicing and car buying. They have an unrivalled reputation locally for excellent service at reasonable prices. They do not have a huge stock of cars for sale but always try to get the right car for the right customer. Their number one priority is delivering the service or car that the customer needs. No pressure, no hassle just great service. They have specialised in Vauxhalls for many years but now sell and service all makes. Their founder John Spratly could easily claim to be the original Honest John.

Spratley`s accommodated the car at a moments notice when the abs failed. They got the car in, diagnosed the fault and offered various solution with various costs. They offered the use of a courtesy car which was extremely helpful. Such a great service from polite and knowledgeable staff. Always so helpful

I popped into the garage to get a warning light fixed that my husband had phoned then ahead of time about and to ask about getting my breaks fixed. I admit I don't know a lot about cars, so the questions I was asking may have been silly but the way I was treated by the staff was disgusting. I was looked at like a complete idiot and the 'gentleman' started to talk me through what I should do to fix my indication light and what the problem with my breaks like he was talking to a mechanic so obviously I left with no solution, nothing fixed, and feeling a bit embarrassed by the way I was treated. The same day I went to a garage in Basingstoke and my warning light was fixed there and then and my car was booked in for breaks to be fixed. Perhaps the staff at Spratley's would benefit in some sort of customer service training, after all they are there to provide a service to the paying public!
