I couldn't wait for my MX5 to be out of warranty so I could take it to John and the guys at Ratchet and Spanner. They've kept our 130,000 mile Golf going for ten years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are completely dependable, utterly honest and absolutely professional. I've seen them sort out cars (like an Alfa the owner had driven on too many short journeys) for which main dealers have wanted to replace major components like the engine: they are proper engineers and not just technicians.
