RM Services, Hathern

Having got a low tyre pressure warning during the weekend I rang RM first thing Monday morning to see if they could help and they said to bring the car in right away and they would fit it in before they began the schedule for the day. One could not ask for better service.

I had a windscreen wiper accidentally damaged by a car wash person. I drove my car to RM Services as they service all 3 of my cars and as usual they did a fantastic job. They established that it was just a wiper blade and nothing more and offered to order it and get it delivered and attached within 2 hours. All done at a price cheaper and more convenient then me driving to Halfords and fitting it myself. A fantastic garage. I wish all service would be as good as this.

Although they managed to fit us in last minute we found the lady on reception hardwork from the initial phone call to being at the garage in person. No real greeting, i even apologised for disturbing their break to which i got zero reply. Her customer service skills leave room for improvement. Manners and common courtesy cost nothing especially with people spending money there. We took the vehicle to an alternate garage for repairs, when they arrived with the vehicle for its retest he was met with the same attitude. First impressions are everything, sad to say i wont be choosing this garage again if this is how customers are greeted and left feeling un-welcome.

I have used RM Services for 40 years and have always been impressed with their fair pricing and quality of routine services and repairs. Ongoing training and the acquisition of modern IT equipment, ensures that they are able to diagnose and sort issues in a motoring world where vehicles are more and more computer controlled. My DIY mechanics now fall well short of their expertise! I am more than willing to leave my poorly car in their capable hands. All staff – managers, reception, engineers – are pleasant, supportive and keen to get you back on the road as soon as possible. After the work is done, it’s also a nice touch to collect a freshly washed and vacuumed car.

This garage was recommended by a neighbour. They claim to be highly rated by the Good Garage Scheme and I can see why. No nonsense, no frills, just good honest workmanship. My rear wiper had stopped and they suggested a possible failed motor or wiring. They just stripped and lubricated it. No problem now - works fine.
