Motorstore Oxted

PTA Motorstore have always provided excellent service and I have always found the staff to be friendly and willing to help / explain issues, have used them multiple times over the past 7 years for different family cars.

They're very friendly and polite here. I took my car in because I was worried about a noise I thought might be the wheel bearings. I asked them to check the brake pads at the same time - which the BMW dealer had previously warned me needed replacing. They found the bearings were fine and diagnosed tyre noise as the source of the issue. They also confirmed the brake pads were fine until my next service. For checking the car over I expected at least a small bill for their time but they refused to give me one. Easy to recommend.

Unlike other reviewers I have found them very helpful over the years, from their staff standing around in cold rain trying to free a jammed head light (not their fault) after hours because I was parked up at the adjacent BP garage, to not charging me for some of the parts in solving non functioning a/c through to when on the morning of my daughters birth and the car had a punctur: drilling out a shredded anti-theft bolt nut on a wheel which might have been their fault for free, then replacing all the nuts, and providing a new tyre free of charge which was way more than I expected.

Staff very rude and immature attitude. Would not recommend this garage to anyone

Terrible service wouldn't send my worst enemy there. Had no idea about my vehicle then Ordered me in a very rude and surly fashion to remove my vehicle from their bays, as they had other customers that needed to get in. Will never be going back that's for sure avoid.

We used to use motorstore a fair bit , 2 years ago wife had brakes done and handbrake adjusted , collected car and made our way along the motorway , the handbrake was locked onto the brakes , overheated and total brake failure , at best bloody frightening . Time is a healer!! Just rung to have tracking done on Saturday so wanted to book a time , the uninterested person on the phone said bring it and leave it for an hour or 2 ... So I'm supposed to do what for 2 hours you fool . Be warned people , not good .

Have used this garage for five years but will go elsewhere now. To be fair they had been ok until 2013 but things have slipped a lot. Had a problem with brakes and had to take the car back three times. Still not fixed. If they had actually got in the car and driven it for 10 yards they would have heard the noise which is still happening a couple of months later. The second time the car was there they did a free repair to make up for their error but still failed to check their work. They could hardly charge us a second time though as it was their error. The bill had been paid at the first attempt and no reduction was ever offered. The manager doesn't seem bothered when a complaint is made. They also didn't leave the key with the local garage as agreed, twice. And they promised to deliver it to our house instead - nothing. Really poor service and I can only assume they are making so much money that they don't care about losing a customer.
