I am surprising myself having to leave a bad review for these guys. They seemed genuine and honest, plus were very friendly. Not to mention they have lots of good reviews. However, in this instance, they were unfortunately awful. And it’s more due to the fact they billed me for it! Jaguar XF went in and they were told of suspected issues with the alternator/BMS, as the car would flatten the battery when running. They were even told the BMS wires were not connected at the battery terminals. Even so, they billed me for THREE HOURS(!!!) going through pulling fuses etc to find a battery drain (which doesn’t exist - I’ve checked myself in the end) and were told to leave it where it was, as the bill was nearly £260 already, with no fault found. The reception guy did say when I was paying the bill that “they weren’t auto electricians”, but they “had an idea of things to check etc”. Unfortunately, it was clear to me that they had no clue when I looked at the battery terminals and discovered they hadn’t even reconnected the BMS wires! THIS IS THE FIRST THING you would logically do - but not them. I spent half an hour taking the plug apart, soldering the wires back together, and reconnecting to the battery terminals. Hey presto! It now works fine, fault fixed. If they had just said from the start they didn’t know what they were doing, I would’ve just taken it somewhere else. But I feel they have been dishonest about it and billed me for the time they spent having a guess at something they know nothing about. This is not professional. I noticed they also sell JLR parts, so perhaps their method is just to throw new parts at a car until the problem goes away. And they might be very good at that. The average customer may not know much about cars, so would be none the wiser. But obviously this is just a wild assumption, not a fact. The facts are in the above paragraph. Anyway, I feel like they have totally ripped me off, so I would absolutely advise you to avoid this garage if you have a fault that isn’t immediately obvious.

Well, I’m very shocked to read the bad reviews above/below, as I received the complete opposite service - I can’t commend the team enough. Just from talking to the guys on the phone, I knew my car was in the hands of experts. His knowledge was second to none and the advice he gave was as accurate as it could get. I was kept up to date every step of the way, and they even phoned/whatsapped me to gain approval for any additional work required. My car was finished quicker than anticipated and it has never run this good. Great garage, great team, great service. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

APPALLING SERVICE! RIP OFF PRICING. This is the first time I have done business with K Motors as I have only recently moved to the area but I have owned 5 Range Rovers over the years so I have dealt with many Land Rover specialists around the country. I booked my 07 L322 in for a full diagnostic and was told that I needed to replace a track rod end as well as two split bushes on the suspension and that this would cost me around £560.00 They did the repairs and I collected the car, I had hardly driven the car out of the industrial estate where they are based when my dash began pinging a message to the effect 'warning-do not drive above 30mph suspension fault' At this the car then sat down on all four corners almost touching the tyres. I limped back to the workshop where the mechanic was non plussed and could find no explanation with the connected diagnostic tool. I then left the car with them so that they could investigate. Some hours later I called them to ask for an update and was told they had no idea what the problem was. I returned to the garage and in the 15 minutes it took me to walk there they had miraculously discovered that I had an air leak in the front drivers side airbag. I asked how this had happened, I was given the answer that 'these things just fail' I voiced my concerns that it seemed a bit of a coincidence that they had the front end of the car jacked up in order to work on the track rod end and now the suspension was damaged. This was dismissed out of hand and it was absolutely nothing to do with them. Then for added customer service points they informed me that for £570.00 they could order the new part and fix it!! But not today, I would have to wait until Monday because tomorrow is Saturday and we don't work weekends! So for a mistake I am certain K Motors caused I would have to find almost £600 and be without my car for another 4 days. No attempt was made to meet me half way or even consider that they they may have inadvertently damaged the airbag. In the event I got the repairs done at another Leyland garage, at a cost of £188.00 for the part and fitted for £60.00! So as well as incompetent service and assuming that K Motors could secure the part needed for at least the same price as I did, then they clearly intended to charge me at least £400.00 to fix the problem that I am certain was caused by their staff. DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS!

Booked my discovery sport in with k motors on the 11th of July 2023 to have a new timing chain fitted was told would have to wait over two weeks till the 27th of July and advised not to use the car cause of timing chain rattle could cause serious damage if chain snapped so did not use my car for two weeks causing more expense to me in taxis I live 30 miles from k motors so bought a train ticket in advance to get home after giving them the car but at 15.30 on the 25th of July k motors email me to inform me they are behind with work and not a chance of repairing my car any time soon after waiting two weeks was told I could still drop it off on the 27th and they would get around to fixing it when they had time. They don’t give a dam about customers very very poor attitude stay well clear.

Full service and MOT. I was told I needed back brake pads. I only do 8000 miles per year. Last year after visiting them I had problems which cost a further 17000. This year on leavin the garage within 10 miles red warning light coolant low took car back guy was waiting opened boot and miraculously the light went off ( this was after full service) next day amber light on saying brake pads are worn ( paid 300 to replace them). Do not trust them I am taking car to another garage to check if work was done. Then I will report to trading standards

Took Discovery in for repairs to an oil leak on side of engine and heater not working. Told sump was leaking, needed gasket to turbo and steering not right. Gave go ahead, had it over a week and paid almost £2k. Day later heater not working. Oil still leaking and engine not running right. Took it back and was told it needed new turbo, torque settings not right and a new heater system , quoted almost £6k. Vehicle isn't worth much more. Told them no thank you and was charged over £60 when we picked it up for having another look at it. RIP OFF MERCHANTS.

Took the car in for a routine service, returned to me with a "Restricted Performance" message and insufficient oil. So obviously I took it back, they did top up the oil but replaced a sensor to sort out the "Restricted Performance" - it didn't. Now they want to replace another sensor and have floated the possibility of replacing 6!!, the first one cost me £300 so 6 will cost a pretty penny, oh with no guarantee of success - they are fixated on an error code that the car has had all the time. The "Restricted Performance" message has only appears after a long drive and of course after they serviced it.

I have used this garage an number of times now and I have to say I think they are terrible the customer service is non-existent they never answer emails my vehicle has come out with more faults than it went in with, I think they are devious, have poor communication the time my vehicle went in it was booked in, I left it for a week before I rang up to see if the work had been completed and they haven't even started and didn't even know it was on the car park when it was ready I collected it and the satellite navigation that was working fine before it went in was no longer working all I got is it was a coincidence!! I totally don't trust this garage and my range rover will not be going back

Avoid at all costs! Booked my car in for a new compressor for the air conditioning. Took the car in at 8:30 and was told it would be done by the end of the day. Rang at 4pm to see how they were getting on, was told it was a really fiddly job and they were struggling to fit the new part. They rang me back an hour or so later telling me that they were still having difficulty fitting the part. I told that it was ok for them to finish the job off the next day. I heard nothing from them so called them to find out that they were closed. I ended up walking round to the garage and found a technician who happened to be working on his own car. He told me that they hadn’t even started working on my car! I had been completely lied to by them. They are not trustworthy. I wouldn’t mind but I was prepared to pay over £1000 to get this fixed!! I definitely won’t be going back there again!
