I’ve used this garage for almost 20 years and have rarely been disappointed. Of course there is the odd occasion where things don’t get done, usually because parts haven’t arrived or someone was off sick but it’s never been done through incompetence or a lack of care. They’ve been helpful, honest, reasonably priced and I’ve never had a problem with the work they have done. I’ve used them for as long as I have because they can be relied upon to do a good job for a fair price, what more can I ask?

Took my car in with an issue that took them a week to diagnose the issue and a further week to fix. Communication was very poor throughout - I had to call for updates. Unfortunately, after costing me £700, the problem returned a week later.

I gave my car to them to sort out one issue they them created another issue which wasn't there in the first place then had the audacity to say to me "ah we can repair but it will cost you". Scum garages fix one thing and create another.

Very unprofessional. Took my car for an Mot and ended up having problems with it. My car now has other issues wrong with it after taking it there. Definitely not ever going back. Stay away from these rude, unhelpful people

I’ve been taking my vehicles to Gibbs for 9 years now (5 different vehicles) and regardless of issues they give you honest straightforward advice. They give you the facts about quality versus cost when needing parts and always with a view to doing the job properly. I have told dozens of people how good they are and everyone who went on to use them agreed that they are first rate!

J W Gibbs had maintained the Morris Minor we bought from friends so we have continued to go there for MOT and servicing, and have valued their advice. As an enthusiastic independent operation they are equally at home with all kinds of modern vehicles.
