What a joke this place is. I expressed an interest in a Dacia car. The 'salesman' didn't instil any confidence at all. At first I thought because of his appearance that Andrew was the mechanic. He lacked basic knowledge and had little people skills. When asked where the brand were built he said he wasn't sure 'probably Czechoslovakia'. Apart from the fact that this country no longer exists - the cars are actually built in Rumania! Add to this, I was not even offered a seat to chat or even a coffee. All basic sales tactics to try to relax and put a customer at ease. I even had to ask for a brochure n the car I wanted left my car with him for 24 hours (bog standard Renault - of which he is a main dealer). 24 hours later said he hadn't got round to working out a value. When I politely explained that this was the final straw - he put the phone down on me. I guessed correctly that he is part of the family business as no way would anyone employ him based on my experience. I had planned on buying the car for cash that day had his PX offer been reasonable. I spoke with Dacia HQ later who took my details and have now arranged for a more professional dealership to contact me for a test drive and meeting. Looking forward to spending 8k with them. Almost forgot to mention that the main showroom (if that is what you can call it) had a lovely aroma of fish and chips throughout it. That's probably down to the staff eating them at the reception desk! This place is certainly neither a good ambassador for either Dacia or Renault.
