"Not my garage of choice, BUT a new service manager seems to be improving matters."

Having had this vehicle in on 3 previous occasions for the same fault, we were blamed for not doing enough miles. previous vehicle was in for 3 plus weeks about 3 years ago and came out still with he faults it went in with.

My engine warning light came on. The receptionist said i should not drive the car and there was no one available to look at it for 6 weeks. I asked for an engineer just to look and give me an opinion. I was brushed aside and told they were far too busy. By far my worst garage experience in 50years of driving.Yes i am in my 70s and possibly the rudest receptionist i have ever encountered

I was charged over two hundred pounds for two hours labour to diagnose what I told them was a diesel knock on a Ford Focus tdci. After paying the bill I read the report. It said " inconclusive fault possibly with the injectors, 2 & 4 injectors have been recently replaced so possibly 1 & 3 injectors may need replacing. A new timing belt has also recently been fitted so it is unlikely to be the problem. Injector coding has been done". "Done"?? What does that mean? Checked or rectified? What kind of idiot do I appear, yes I know the timing belt was changed because I looked unlike the tech who read it in my service book. I know for certain that the belt cover had not been touched. I had the injectors pulled and tested (elsewhere) to be told that all the injectors were reasonably new 2&4 were very new but they were operating outside the diesel knock sensor parameters. A recode is required. I went back to Allen Ford for a complementary recheck to confirm the second opinion, they of course are not interested. The only reason I went to this dealership is because they had the diagnostics and I didn't. Perhaps they need to train more monkeys to use them correctly.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I bought a second hand car from Allen Ford Bath and it was the most painful experience I've ever had. Before I picked the car up it was supposed to have a dent repaired on the sill, whole car machine polished, wing mirror resprayed and a full tank of fuel. I picked the car up, they forgot my invoice, the warranty, got the price wrong, tax wrong and the car had only been machine polished, badly. They only did the doors (apparently thats the whole car) and left them covered in highly visible swirls. Nothing else had been done. Car went back 4 times over the space of 3 months to get the work done, eventually I gave up. They repaired the dent ok (can still remains up close) but resprayed it very badly. They eventually said they would strip and respray the entire sill to make it look right, but just polished it instead on the 4th time. On the previous 2 attempts they did nothing at all and tried to make out they'd resprayed the wrong side, when they clearly hadn't. Unbelieveable! Wing mirror was machine polished first instead of resprayed but was still covered in scratches. It then took them two attempts to respray it. On the first attempt they let dust settle on it before spraying and on the second attempt they left marks where they'd wet sanded it and not polished it. In the end I finished it myself with some compound and polish. Alloys started peeling after 2 months so they were resprayed under warranty, badly. They didn't sand down the peel marks properly so you can still see them and they let the paint run in a few places. On top of that they broke my wheel nut key but decided not to say anything and chucked it away. It was only by chance that I found the bag for it was empty. Got given a replacement from their master set which was heavily worn and kept slipping, so I had to pay for a new one. I highly recommend that you avoid this dealer at all costs. They can't get anything right and just don't care. I wrote to them as recommended by consumer advice, stating that they'd had their opportunity to complete the work and that I would like a price reduction so I could get the work done elsewhere. The manager responded by ringing me, having a go at me and then informing me that he hadn't had a chance to complete the work. The car had been back to them 3 times at this point, after much arguing I gave them a 4th chance but it was hopeless. I hope no one else has to go through this. I can't believe Ford let these people sell and repair their cars.

I took my 2010 Ford Mondeo Tdci for a 65k service. I have used this garage for the two previous annual services. This involves changing the oil and filter amongst other things. This time I received a call a few hours after taking it in, to say that the sump would have to be replaced due to the drain plug thread coming away. The cost to me would be £380. When I pointed out that the only people that have touched the drain plug was their mechanics they reduced the cost to me to £220. I believe that over-tightening has taken place in the previous service. I only wanted a service, not a new sump. They said it happened some times and basically shrugged their shoulders. I am going to steer clear in future because the company does not inspire confidence because of complacency.

I will never go back there again. I bought a Ford KA from them in February and had nothing but trouble with a water ingress problem. I had to take it back three times and each time they came up with a different story about the problem. They told me it was covered under the warranty now they state they did the work as a gesture of goodwill. The car is only just two years old.
