How can I turn off my Mercedes-Benz E-Class' service indicator?
My local garage expertly services and maintains my Mercedes-Benz E200 Kompressor estate. However, as it is not a Mercedes-Benz dealer, they cannot switch off the message that comes up saying: 'Main inspection done on time?'. For a service to be done by a Mercedes-Benz garage would cost me an extra 300 Euros and it is 70 kilometres further from home. How can I get this message turned off?
You have to find someone who has the necessary programme and can access the car's ECU via the OBDII diagnostics port. Maybe an independent Mercedes-Benz specialist.
