Volkswagen Tiguan emissions fix - what do I need to know?
I have received the invitation to have my Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI "fixed" by the main dealer to deal with the emissions issue. I have read the reports on your site of post-"fix" problems and I wonder what are the consequences of NOT having this work carried out?
I am quite happy with the performance of the car (we also tow a caravan with it) and I don't want it to be worse afterwards. What do you think? I appreciate that they would probably want to do the "fix" during the next service even if I refuse it in the meantime.
The car will continue to run as it does now for a while, but if problems later develop you will not be able to blame VAG if you refuse the 'fix'.
