Why is my diesel Focus costing so much to run?
I had the DPF and thermostat replaced in my 2004 Focus by my local FOrd garage six months ago at a cost of £1800. A warning light has now come on and they have told me the fuel additive tank is empty and requires filling at the cost of £395. Shouldn't this have been done when they replaced the DPF?
£1800 is ridiculous for a DPF if they did not also replace and replenish the Eolys tank. I think they must have charged for it and not done it. But brings home the true cost of trying to save money by buying a diesel.
