How often should I change the brake fluid?
Can I ask two questions:
1. How often does brake fluid need replacing?
2. If my Aircon is working fine, does it need any routine servicing?
1: Brake fluid eventually becomes contaminated with moisture and other contaminants, but should normally be good for three years. It can be tested for moisture/contaminants.
2: A/c needs to be regularly used all year round because its lubricants are suspended in the refrigerant and if the seals dry out the refrigerant will leak. Regularly used, you can get away with about 6 years use. Infrequently used, it will probably need to be re-gassed every couple of years.
