Cam belt change - should I replace the water pump too?
Should I replace the water pump on my Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0 TDI when I change the cam belt? My main dealer says no but I'd like to be sure.
I would because the waterpump is notorious for failing and if it does the belt comes off and the engine self-destructs.
