Where can my daughter learn the basics of car maintenance?
In three months time my 16-year-old daughter will be eligible to start learning to drive. Are there any courses that will teach youngsters the rudiments of motor maintenance to avoid being taken for a ride by unscrupulous workshops?
We run an old Citroen C3 that is maintained by a small local private garage and has Green Flag cover, but I expect that when my daughter needs advice on the car she'll be well away from home at university, hence my desire to get some knowledge into her before she needs it. Changing a wheel or checking the oil I can manage, but I think she should know more than that.
