Why are my Citroen Xsara's brake discs wearing faster than the pads?
I have a 2009 Citroen Xsara Picasso (1.6i petrol) and recently took it for its second service. The dealer has informed me that the brake discs are worn and need replacing even though the original brake pads are only 70 per cent worn. The car has an average mileage of 25,000. Is this normal?
It's normal since asbestos was banned from brake pad material and replaced with metallic compounds.
