How can I avoid excessive wear to the insides of the front tyres on my Lexus 200 Sport?
I have a Lexus 200 Sport that has been extremely reliable. The only problem that I have with the car is excessive wear on the inside edges of the front tyres. The car is on 215/45ZR 17 tyres. I have had the tracking checked several times but the tracking machine shows that the tracking conforms exactly to the Lexus geometry settings. I have since read on the internet that the settings supplied by Lexus are not correct. Have you come across this problem?
No, but the answer would be to adjust the toe out very slightly inwards. This is what Alfa Romeo owners did with 156s to solve a similar problem. Very slightly, though. Too much and the steering will go horribly light and the car will feel uncontrollable.
