Legal query regarding dealership in adminstration
I bought a car from a Vauxhall Dealership about a year ago. As part of the purchase, there was an in-built agreement for five years free servicing. I was trying to book its first service when I found out that the dealership had gone into administration.
I have tried to book the service with another dealer, but no one will honour the agreement. Vauxhall HQ says it's not their problem. The finance company say it's not their problem either. I've checked with Trading Standards and they appear to think that the finance company is in breach of contract. I put that back to the finance company and they still don't want to know.
The deal was with the dealer that went bust. So you are merely one of its many creditors.
