BMW servicing - is all of this required?
I have owned my BMW for 6 years and it has done just less than 35,000 miles. Based on time rather than mileage I have had the car serviced every two years by the local main dealer. I am now told it needs a major service including oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, brake fluid change, and micro filter at significant cost. I am not convinced all of this is really required when the mileage is so low. Appreciate your thoughts .Is there any real value in having the main dealer do this, could I use a non franchised garage or even do the work myself?
I am. Get the job done. But cheaper by an independent BMW specialist rather than a dealer. A non BMW specialist might botch the job.
