DPF replacement - what needs to be done?
I'm having the DPF replaced on my 2005 Ford Focus 1.6TDCI as I have a fault saying that the DPF has reached its maximum regenerations.
I'm having it done by a local garage at a small fraction of what Ford would charge but I want to make sure they do everything that Ford would do when replacing it.
My question is apart from the physical replacement of the DPF what else needs to be done? I have heard of counter in the ECU needing to be reset but could do with a list so I can make sure they do everything.
The Eolys fluid reservoir needs to be re-filled and re-set. I don't think a local garage will be capable of this work.
