The rear nearside spring on my 58-plate Mazda 3 Automatic broke during the warranty period. I understand from your column that this is not a common occurance these days due to the quality of the springs. I managed to get to Perrys of Preston, who supplied the car, at 9.30 AM. I was back on the road with a replacement car within the hour, which was replaced the following day with a hire car. When the repair was completed I collected my car, which had been washed and cleaned. The following day there was a phone call to see if everything was satisfactory. Full marks to Craig Skinner the Warranty Administrator for his prompt and efficient service.
No. Very rare for springs on Far Eastern cars to fail. Very common for them to fail on European cars. Nice to hear how well Mazda looked after you.
