Speaking Berlingo
I have a Citroen Berlingo 2.0 HDI, which is due a 5 year service. The ever-decreasing number of solvent Citroen dealers in my vicinity have quoted circa £240 for the service. Local garages quote about half that price. The problem seems to be the Engine Management System. With a diesel is it really essential for the service garage to have access to the EMS software? Also, for a 5-year-old car, should I be that fussed about dealer servicing?
Try to find an independent Peugeot/Citroen specialist. But the 2.0 HDI in the Berlingo is relatively low tech with no particulate filter to worry about, so plenty of garages should be able to do the job.
