Absolutely outstanding service from Director David and the team at West Malling Garage. They stored my car for THREE MONTHS while I dealt with a nightmare warranty dispute, and supported me every step of the way. David went above and beyond—providing expert advice, technical reports, and genuine care throughout. Thanks to his help, the warranty company finally settled. A trustworthy, professional garage that truly has your back. Highly recommend!

I recently took my car to West Malling Garage after it started making a strange knocking sound from the engine. From start to finish, the experience was incredibly professional and efficient. As soon as I arrived, the team greeted me and took down all the symptoms I had noticed. They quickly moved the car into the workshop and began the diagnostic process. Within 4 hours, they had completed a full diagnostic check using their scanning tools and a hands-on inspection. They identified the issue as a worn-out timing belt that was on the verge of failing. One of the mechanics took the time to walk me through the problem in simple terms, showing me the worn part and explaining how it was affecting the engine. They also gave me a clear breakdown of what needed to be replaced, including the belt, tensioner, and a couple of related components. I really appreciated how upfront they were about the costs. They provided a detailed quote before starting any work, outlining the price of parts, labour, and taxes. There were no hidden fees or surprises – just honest, transparent pricing. Even more impressively, they were able to complete the entire repair by the following day. I received a call when the car was ready for pickup. When I arrived, they showed me the replaced parts and even provided a short report on the work done, including recommendations for future maintenance. The car has been running perfectly since the repair. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the service – fast turnaround, fair pricing, and clear communication throughout. I highly recommend West Malling Garage if you're looking for a trustworthy garage that knows what they're doing.

"great experience for something that i have to do."

Had a lot of company cars over the years and never had to pay for things like this , you could say i was fortunate. So when it was time to book my car in and have it serviced it wasn't something I really wanted to do. But from the moment I booked my car in to when I got it back it was hassle free. Obviously I had to pay for the Mot and service but I didn't feel like it was over priced as I had shopped about.

"Sold me a badly maintained car"

After getting a good PPI payout I decided to treat myself to a better second-hand car, I bought a Captiva nice big family car, after a year things started to go wrong smoke pouring out of the exhaust is due to DBF filter being removed from the car, then the turbo was leaking oil cost a small fortune to get that fixed alone, I can no longer afford to put the car right as my funds are now exhausted. I feel the garage must have known about the problem with the car but were happy to sell. I feel very angry and somewhat stupid that I was ripped off £5500 of rubbish, I cant even px it on a new car because it's not worth anything in this condition.

"Very polite and understood our needs"

Wanted to write this review to show others that garages can be very helpful. We broke down on the way to our holiday destination. We searched online for a local garage and West Malling Garage came up. We called and spoke to a really lovely guy who told us to get it recovered and would get it looked at ASAP for us. When we turned up at the garage we were greeted politely and they had someone look at the vehicle straight away. They gave us a quote for repair and said it would be a couple of hours to fix . They recommended a lovely place to eat in the local town. Once the vehicle was ready we got a text and we wondered back, Paid for the car repairs and was able to get on with our holiday without to much delay. So thank you west malling garage.

Had my car in for a service and mot today. From start to finish the service department couldn't have been more polite I had a phone call to say my car needed a couple of items for the service and that would pass the mot with no problems. I was very surprised at how competitive they were and they even delivered my car home. I will definitely be returning

"Terrible attitude fromThe owner "

My car was recovered into this god forsaken place by the RAC as it’s local to me! They told me I needed a new starter motor, they replaced it! Two months later my engine almost caught fire and it stunk of burning . RAC CAME. they said they had never seen anything like it. Car taken back to garage by RAC. New starter motor put on ! A week later a burning smell detected, then it went away. 4 weeks after 2nd starter motor fitted , it broke down again after a smell of burning! RAC TOOK IT BACK TO THE GARAGE .. owners attitude appalling argumentative and rude! Wasn’t in any hurry to look at my car! After me expressing how I felt and him putting the phone down on me he rang back shouting it would be outside on the road come and collect it. I said no I would not be Collecting it as I paid for something that’s defective. I believe that cheap or substandard parts have been fitted along with no investigation as to why the wires were on fire and it failed the second time! Bottom line the car was left at my old house on the road where I no longer lived with the keys on the wheel! If this is what they call a professional service then I feel very sorry for them.

"Dreadful, fitted a defective unit, then another then threw in the towel"
By Philip Swift, 25 June 2018

Untrustworthy and incompetent - initial diagnosis was clear - air-con unit failed. then blamed it on swarf in the system, the a defective fan - only has one and it works perfectly. I suspect their parts supplier is not providing 'new' (as described) components but recon' and that after 2 failed they could get no others.
