Earlier this year when the DSG on my 9-year-old and hitherto faultless Skoda Octavia was shifting gears at the wrong speeds the main dealers in Manchester (who had serviced it from new) kept me waiting 4 weeks for a diagnostic check and held on to the car for most of the day before telling me it needed a replacement gearbox at a cost of £4000 and I should consider changing my car. Subsequently I found this garage on line and was invited to bring it in the same day for a diagnosis. On doing so I was told within 10 minutes that the gearbox was fine and all that was faulty were the speed sensors. These were duly replaced at a cost of £383 after which it has run perfectly. No prizes for guessing where the car went for its major service this week. I remain impressed with the customer experience.
