Our car is 3 Years old and in excellent condition, they replaced tyres that did not need replacing and key fob battery was replaced after we said it did not need replacement £9 because we had just replaced it. The bill was over five hundred!!!

bought a used Suzuki from them, asked for loan, they gave me H.P. finance, lied to about interest rate, asked for road tax to be included in price, they added it to price, salesman agreed to a full tank of fuel, hardly any in when collected, very deceitful salesman. Will never go back again, and would suggest others avoid it. Complained to H/O, but all that happened was an unhelpful manager argued and showed his lack of basic English.

In 2010 my pregnant wife and I were in the process of buying a brand new car to replace our Mazda 3, I had booked test drives with 3 other dealers (Mazda, Seat and Hyundai) and wanted to test drive the Kia Ceed on the same day. I contacted Stoneacre in Hull, the Kia dealer in the area, and booked the test drive. The day before the test drive I rang all 4 dealers to confirm everything was still Ok and all 4, including Stoneacre, confirmed. In stark contrast to the professionalism and courtesy of the other 3 dealers, when we arrived at Stoneacre we were confronted by a sales manager who knew nothing of my test drive booking. He complained to me that “no one tells him anything” and proceeded to hand me the keys to a car which, as well as being a completely different model to the one we actually wanted to test drive, was also filthy. Rather than complain to Stoneacre (where I assumed my complaint would fall on deaf ears) I wrote a letter to Kia UK expressing our annoyance and telling them that the performance of Stoneacre in Hull had cost them a sale. I expected that to be the end of matters…. Almost immediately after our complaint was investigated by Kia we started receiving malicious phone calls with the callers knowing our address as well as names. Threats were made to dump large amounts of sand etc. on our doorstep and they even sent legitimate tradesman round to our home having impersonated me on the phone. The Police were informed and BT managed to trace the calls to a single mobile number belonging to, yes you guessed it, an employee of Stoneacre. Unfortunately, we endured 2 months of distress because we had the audacity to complain about poor customer service. I remind you, dear reader, that my wife was pregnant at this time. I was informed by Stoneacre head office that the people responsible were fired but I remain unconvinced that I was told the truth. I also remain convinced that Kia handled the situation badly as it is my view that they did not need to tell Stoneacre who had lodged the complaint. Needless to say, we will never have any dealings with either company ever again and I especially urge you to steer clear of Stoneacre.
