"Poor Workmanship, Disappointing Aftercare, and Misleading Warranty at MS Prestige"
By Oliver Ground, 6 May 2025

I purchased a BMW 435D from MS Prestige and, unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. On the very day I collected the vehicle, the front splitter—fitted by MS Prestige themselves—fell off during the journey home. Not long after, the rear spoiler, also installed by them, began coming unstuck. These issues raised immediate concerns about the quality of workmanship and attention to detail. Despite contacting them promptly, their response lacked urgency and accountability, which only added to the frustration. Communication throughout has been inconsistent at best, and instead of addressing the problems constructively, I was often met with dismissive or unhelpful replies. Even now, several months later, I have still not been able to obtain a proper invoice for the purchase. Most recently, I’ve begun experiencing issues with the brakes—yet based on my experience so far, I have little faith that their advertised 12-month warranty will be honoured in any meaningful way. While the warranty was heavily advertised as a selling point, what wasn’t made clear is that it’s handled directly by MS Prestige and comes with a total claim limit of just £500, which in today’s market barely covers anything of significance. What should have been a straightforward, premium buying experience has instead turned into a drawn-out and frustrating ordeal. I would strongly urge anyone considering a purchase from MS Prestige to proceed with caution. Thoroughly check every aspect of the vehicle and be sceptical of the warranty offering—it does not provide the peace of mind it’s marketed to deliver. A prestige name means nothing without service and integrity to match, and sadly, this dealership has fallen far short on both.

"Bad attitude, unwilling to listen"

So I have waited just over a week to write this review, in the hope that the business would reflect and see the error of their ways in dealing with customers. Let me start with the positive, following a non-fault accident M&S Prestige were the garage I was told were collecting my wife's car. The guy who collected the car and dropped it back off after repairs was fine, no issues whatsoever. The nearside of the car sustained damage to nearly all panels in the accident, as well as a damaged wheel and some suspension/alignment bits. The paintwork done to the nearside was fine, no issues to raise there whatsoever. The alloy wheel was also replaced, so again no issue there. On to the issues! It became apparent shortly after the car was repaired that the steering was pointing off to the right when travelling in a straight line (which was the opposite of what it was doing after the accident!) We contacted insurer who told us to speak to garage, which we did. On calling the garage we were advised to bring the car back in on Thursday 15th June. In the time since speaking with the garage and the car going in I noticed (in the sunshine) horrendous swirling in the paint on the offside of the car and tried to raise this when I took the car in with my wife. On arriving I was met with a bad attitude from Stephen Watson (who turns out to be a Director!). Firstly insisting that side of the car had been painted, finally accepting that it hadn't but had been polished. To eventually saying "it's a used car", and finally told to, "f***k off, I don't deal with pr**ks like you". This said in front of my wife. All because the side of the car just needed a machine polisher putting over it again to get rid of the marks! Really shocking behaviour from a Director, to the point my wife said she didn't want to deal with the garage again anyway after feeling threatened by the Director. After a none fault accident we are now left with a car that doesn't steer straight and looks worse than it did pre accident - I would never use this garage again.
