I purchased two premium tyres for an MX5 via the Blackcircles website. The price was competitive and the online booking went smoothly I selected this garage because they are a local, approved fitter. I arrived on time and was expecting a straight forward job. However, I was in for a major disappointment. I spoke to the manager and confirmed which tyres needed replacement. I naturally expected the new ones to be put on the same axle. He objected in a very unpleasant and unprofessional manner. Quote: " I won't be doing that, Blackcircles don't pay me enough to do that" I was stunned. I've dealt with many garages over my 50 plus years of driving and I've never encountered such a bad attitude. This individual, not only let the Motorforce group down, he tarnished the reputation of Blackcircles and most of all he spoiled the start of my day.... i cannot believe that he felt it appropriate to take out issues he has with Blackcircles on one of their customers. If you are unwilling to provide the required service, take the matter up with the middleman, do not try to take it out on the customer. Incredibly poor customer service, I would never use them again. The money saved on the tyre price wasn't worth the hazzle.

And whilst we had one vehicle in we had a family emergency and they provided a courtesy vehicle quickly, no questions. Following my engine replacement, it broke down, after getting the car towed, they couldn't fix the engine they fitted, which left me without a car, even though it was still in warrantee, there was no offer of compensation or refund because they couldn't fix the engine. Would never use this garage again. Rip off.

Very slow service, even though van needed for work, charged £77 and hour (even doctors don’t get that). Promised would be ready by end of the day to be told the mechanic was going home and not finishing it.

I have used this garage mainly for our 17 year old VW Beetle for the last few years, but also other family cars now and again. Always find them friendly, really honest and dead straight as regards what needs doing, or can wait, and how much it will cost. Especially good for people who run older or cheaper cars but no job seems to be too big or small. Communication with customers is really first class. Never kept waiting when dropping off or collecting and they are really prompt with work done when they say it will. Helpful to get a call when service or MOT is due too.

Always good service. They tend to be very busy (always a good sign!) I do as much work on my cars as I can (at the moment I have six, all considered 'classics') but if circumstances dictate I will use this garage. For instance my '91 Fiat Panda needed a new brake master cylinder for its last MOT, something I was aware of, & I was very satisfied with the job they did. I have also taken both my Austin Metros in to have the hydragas suspension pumped up.
