Went in to buy a 3 series. The salesman was rude, arrogant, patronising and dismissive of questions he didn't like. He smirked at me arrogantly when I refused bmw finance at 9% which had a total cost of finance at over £8000 on top of the original price of the car. He talked down any other dealer I mentioned when I compared prices with him. He asked for my personal details which I refused then he said I can't help you if I don't know who you are. He was dressed and acted like some sort of banker busting million dollar deals. Jumped up idiot. Needless to say I walked out.

"I would not buy a second hand car from this BMW dealer again!"
By Mr B Emery, 2 September 2014

I purchased a very low mileage one owner BMW 1 series car in May 2014! The car was immaculate and only had two faults before I collected the car. First fault was a badly chipped windscreen. The chip was in front of the drivers vision. Elms said they would replace the screen. Second fault was a slight paint scratch on the rear bumper. This was repaired to a first class finish on collection.Elms also said they would change the oil in the engine. I collected the car a week after the purchase date and all seemed fine. I had the car for 3 days and the chip on the windscreen appeared again! Elms had repaired the screen with a resin patch and it fell out. I called Elms and they then had to replace the windscreen All very incovieniant! The sales lady Christine was very apologetic .I do not think it was her fault but the fault of the service department trying to save money. After 3 months the service warning display on the dash told me That the car needed an oil change. I telephoned Christine at Elms and she informed me that they did not change the oil but just topped it up. When I purchased the car Christine tried to sell me a BMW service pack. I declined this as I do not cover that many miles between servicing. There were several calls back and forth as Elms tried to solve the oil change problem. I said I would get it serviced at a closer BMW dealer and send Elms the bill. As if by magic Christine called me to say that my car already had a 5year service pack ,purchased by the first owner. I asked the question. Why did you try and sell me a very expensive service pack when the car already had a 5 year service pack? It was a very welcome bonus to have the extra service pack but I question the honesty of Elms as a dealer. So if you buy a second hand car from Elms check if there is a service pack already with the car. I will not be using Elms in the future.
