Stranded a distance away from home in an unfamiliar area, car broken down and breakdown cover that wouldn't help. Not a good position to be in, especially when travelling on your own. They went above and beyond to help me and get myself and my car home and at a very reasonable rate. Can't speak highly enough of them. Would totally trust them.

Outstanding service. This is the standard for garages. I haven’t been there before but found I was warmly welcomed with smiling faces. The prices were great and the staff were happy. Management has changed a couple of years ago so may be that the previous reviews had a bad experience with the previous management. Everyone I know that has gone here can’t complain about the service. Quality, on time and at a great price. Could not praise higher. This is how a garage should be run. I saw technicians themselves coming out to explain to a customer what they have found in a really easy to understand way. Staff dealt with customers quickly and effectively showing how competent they really are! 5 stars all round

Very poor service and admin staff are very unprofessional. Incorrect information recorded on the MOT failure cert and asked for a quote for repairs but this was never given. Admin staff openly gossip about customers they have spoken to making people feel very uncomfortable.

It’s a real shame as I have used many times in the past, but the last couple of times I have tried to use they promise to get back to me with a quote but they never do, this time I had to phone 4 times to get a price and in the end I requested to talk to the service manager and finally I was quoted a price and booked my car in. I turned up to drop the car off as scheduled and was informed it had not been booked in … Great start, whilst dropping the car off I asked a simple question how much would it be to upgrade the engine oil change to use fully synthetic oil a nice simple question for a garage to answer you would assume but the I was advised it depends to what oil they would be using and to how much my engine takes but they were unable to advise a price and they would have to get back to me on that one. I left my car and finally I got a phone call from the manager again and a price was given for all the works and I agreed and got on with my day, Then a phone call to replace the Auto Gear Box oil they would have to send the car to their other garage as they do not have the equipment require to perform the job – I was not happy but what could I do so I agreed. Then a few hours later another phone call to advise that when they quoted me with a price their supplier forgot to quote them for a filter so the price would increase by another £22 Not a lot of money I hear you say – But when you provide a quote should you not stick to your quote, was it my fault their supplier forgot something? Then they tried to pass it off and say well you don’t have to replace the filter its optional hence it was not on the original quote and they are just asking if I would like it done. I am not a mechanic hence I take it to what I deem as specialists, a quick search of the web and all the sites advise / confirm that when replacing the auto fluid, you replace the filter Not sure what has happened to Dynes but the amount of business of they must lose as they don’t get back with quotes and the number of customers to whom they provide a quote and then when working on the car try and increase like mine I will be using an alternate garage going forward, but it’s not just the work they do for they have lost I also take a few friends cars to them as well

Took my car to Dynes for MOT the car failed on steering being light on one side. Told I needed steering rack and front shock mounting replaced to get it to pass MOT at £484 complete I reluctantly agreed but was assured this was all that needed to be done. SHOCKED when I get called to say that I needed to pay an extra £450 because although the rack had been replaced I now needed the power steering motor replaced. I questioned why this was not spotted when I payed for the labour to have an inspection into what was needed didn't actually get a straight answer so had to pay the £484 collected the car the took it to another garage where surprise, surprise!!! it wet straight through the MOT AVOID AT ALL COSTS

avoid, this place will waste your time with poor excuses and lack of communication. Sent my car here for an mot and service called them after 8 hours to find out what was going on only to be told the garage was empty and she couldn't tell me what was going on but as soon as she found out she would call me, after waiting a total of 10 hours in called these twits back to be told the car had been serviced and passed the mot but would need front pads fan belt wiper blades and rear bushes ffs I could have had this done that day had she stopped to think and call the customer, made to feel more of a hindrance than customer.

I was quoted different prices for the same job, second price was double Poor customer service, phone calls are never returned. After having enough of Dynes I got my car repaired in another garage, for 1/4 of the quote Dynes wanted

The MOT testing seems to be something of a con designed to get more work. I was failed for indicator lights for 'not being yellow enough'. The vehicle has everything working correctlt, I feel this was clutching at straws to generate work to change parts. The next day the vehicle passed at another garage no problem - not even with advisory information. I would not recommend this garage.

Put my cat in for repairs to the clutch and an MOT. They kept me well informed of the progress on my car, related it on time and at the quoted cost. Even speed it off at home afterwards. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting a quality garage that you can trust.

Exceptional cheap MOT service in price but very high value in service. Was not that quick I had to wait 2 hours but on that day they where very busy. They over book them self the time slots are very close to each other and seems like they book two cars at a time for one MOT bay. But apart from that they did not charged any thing else. I was curious they may find something to repair intention to get the MOT fully paid but no. I only paid 25 Pound.

I have taken my car to DYNES for the last ten years, I have had nothing but great service and friendly aftercare, i have been witness to people slating the garage and causing issues and say that the cheap mot's are a scam and a con but to be fair these people mostly are compensation seekers and trouble makers and if the vehicles are well maintained there should be no issue, This is not true I take advantage of their free collection and re-delivery service when i am at work and cannot get too the garage at no extra cost and my car is always pleased to have a good clean after works have been completed, My son also uses this garage as he enjoys the nhs discounts on offer, my daughter swears by Dynes and again takes full advantage of the student discounts on offer as does my father who enjoys the pensioners discount. overall i got to say a real friendly atmosphere always ready to help, efficient and competetive. I will continue to use these guys regardles of the write up, you cant please them all but they certainly have pleased me

My car broke down en route to France for my holidays. A Dynes recovery vechicle picked us up and took us to his garage. At first I was expecting an expensive and possible over night experience, as Dynes had been sent by my Breakdown Recovery Policy, and he said he could not fix the car by the road side. We were booked in upon arrival at 8.30am, the girls on the recption were lovely, and they ordered a new Diesel Filter, which took 30mins to arrive, and then it was fitted within the next 30mins, and we were back on the road and made our ferry crossing later that morning. It cost £47.00, which I thought was great value for the speed and efficiency of the service. While in the garage, another lady arrived for a service, and she was a regular user of the garage, again, due to the fantastic service she had received in the past.
