Had to postpone service date by a week which was no problem for DMS. I went to the local library to do computer-based work and sure enough got a mobile call when DMS has finished. Very reasonable £148 for full service plus brake fluid replacement. Good find!

After being quoted for my service I returned to collect my car to be told they would be charging me less as they hadn't had to do some of the work. After picking myself up off the floor they continued to talk about some work that needed doing but that could be left for now but that they would quote me for. As a single mum this garage has been a real find and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone.

My visit in June was to change the wheels and tyres on my Skoda Superb in accordance with your suggestion but I have known Scott and his family for years before they became Dunmow Motor Services. I owned a Vauxhall Carlton Estate from new and had always had it serviced at Vauxhall main dealers but four of them had been unable to discover and correct an intermittent starter fault despite the problems it caused. Finally, a receptionist at the last main dealer very quietly suggested I go to Scott. He found the fault in 20 minutes and I asked him to take over the servicing of the car. He was able to show me that some of the servicing had previously never been done pointing out the relevant areas. Since then, I have always been to them, have never had any cause to complain and have been delighted to see them grow.

I have been going to this garage for several years with a variety of cars and always find them friendly, helpful and honest and good value. They are always willing to have a look straight away to see what’s wrong and will do their best to get you going again as quickly as possible. You always get an honest opinion even if it means they miss out on the work. On one occasion they recommended I go to a main dealer as the car had a problem that, unknown to me, had been the subject of a recall. On another occasion when they were unable to re gas the aircon straight away they phoned around to find another local garage who could help. Great customer service and thoroughly recommended.
