Took my Mercedes for a DPF clean, received a phone call a day or so later, Telling me my DPF component had melted and needed replacing. Told me the part was going to cost me £990 pound which was coming direct from Mercedes. I rang Mercedes to confirm the price of the part, To be told the price was £860 which they was ripping me off by £130, At this point I decided to get a second opinion, I contacted them to tell them I would be collecting the car to think about this, which they charged me £200 pound to put my old part back on which they said was faulty. I took my car to another garage to be told my DPF did not need replacing so glad I did as I would have been paying them £1350 for something that did not need replacing . Complete rip offs will charge people for parts that don't need replacing at over inflated prices, Stay clear if I was you.

It is with regret that I took my car to DSA after reading the reviews, I was told the problem with my car was possibly a cam-belt and so a new cam-belt was fitted, i was sold tyres that didn't need replacing, and a fault that was found on a rear number-plate light just told it could be an electrical fault! after leaving the garage the cam-belt snapped as it was brand new faulty (needless to say that was not the problem that it went into be diagnosed with, it took a further garage after inspection and diagnostics to put my car right at a cost of £940.00 on top of a the failed diagnostic from DSA that they charged me £1350.00 in total i could understand the £940.00 as the gear flywheel was the problem, but to diagnose cam-belt problems fit a faulty on and then charge me for two tyres and a tracking rod and at cost of £1350 when this was clearly not the problem. after writing to the complain and reviving a phone call pointing that someone could lose there job over this..... ! and then no further contact not getting back to me with an explanation or some form of redress. they managed to easily talking me into an easy third party payment plan (which ensures they get paid) and when I got in-touch with the easy pay plan i signed up to I was told that the only option was to talk the matter up with trading standards which is my next step! after then left with a further £940 to put the actual problem right.(only explanation i got was ah your car is an automatic and we don't deal with automatics !!!) so why pretend its a cam-belt and fit a faulty one then expect me to drive it off with the problem they diagnosed incorrectly in the first place! i can only suggest that anyone who takes there car here should insist parts replaced are inspected after being removed and after receiving no redress in writing or satisfactory recompense for the total inconvenience of having to commute to work from Nottinghamshire to leeds and the mess they made of the work they carried out simply find another garage. I am all for service with a smile but if you Don't know whats wrong with your car try some other garage other than this one when it comes to diagnostics. far from satisfied from the poor service i have had to pay for.........
