Quoted me £1350 to replace a dual mass flywheel on a Vectra. I asked them why it was so expensive when Masterfit quoted £599 all in to replace a clutch, they had already told me that the flywheel parts cost £263 and there couldn't be much more labour involved . Their response was to offer all sorts of excuses like I had asked them to replace the DMF not the flywheel, the Masterfit price could only apply to clutch replacement on its own, the price to change the flywheel at the same time was an extra £608.95, it takes much longer to fit the flywheel (they finally conceded it takes an extra hour making a total of 6.2 hours). When threatened with Trading Standards etc they said they would look into the matter and get back to me. They phoned back in 5 minutes and reduced the price to £895.04 but refused to provide separate parts prices for anything other than the flywheel in the hope that this would mess up my claim with Warranty Direct.
