Had a spot of bother, after hitting a pothole on a Dartmoor road. One bent and unusable alloy wheel. Chris kindly found a new alloy, fitted it with a new tyre and I'm properly back on the road. Many thanks.

took my saab there as i had a problem with the brakes they fitted new discs and pads to the front but didn't solve the problem i had initially and charged me a whooping 250 quid for the privellage ,as the garage is too far away i couldn't be bothered taking the car back. another garage diagnosed the prob straight away something to do with the servo . on another occasion humbles quoted me 340 for a cm belt change ,which i thought was uber expensive i had it done at rpb motors for 240 a 100 pounds less !!! ,my advice shop around they charge a premium for nothing more than you would find anywhere else.

I use this garage in their capacity as a Saab specialist but they also do Renault. It is owned by Chris Hambley who is generally on site and is easily contactable by phone and e-mail. Send him a message and you get a reply. The engineers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Saabs. If you ask them to attend to something it gets done and if you ask, they will tell you about the job they have done. Chris and all his staff freely give unbiased advice. My Saab is 12 years old and last year I said "I suppose it's about time I changed this" to which the reply was "no, you've got a good one; hang on to it" - even though one of the business activities is selling used Saabs. I have just booked the car in regarding an air conditioner fault with the comment "I expect you will have to get me a reconditioned unit". The answer was "no, we can fix most things". The aim of Chris Hambley is to be cheaper than the nearest large distributor (who used to service my car) and when I switched, I found Hambley's labour rates considerably less. The men's overalls are clean and the workshop is spotless and tidy. This garage does its work with pride. The lady receptionist has enough knowledge to give general advice and if you need more information to make a decision, will get the right person to the phone to help. The engineers (and that is what they are) will go the extra mile if necessary and after the last service I found my damaged Saab bonnet badge replaced without asking, nothing said and no charge.
