Brighton Motor Services, New Marske

Brighton Motor Services is a father-son-one mechanic-apprentice company in the village of New Marske on Teesside. I have been using BMS for many years but two recent experiences deserve mention. Back in November 2011, not allowed to drive following abdominal surgery and the MOT test due I asked BMS to collect my BMW 320ci, carry out the test and 'would you please give it a wash, it's a bit mucky'. The car was duly collected, tested (it passed) and returned washed and with interior vacuumed and cleaned. The only charge being for the MOT test. During the cold spell in February I 'lost' the rear end of the BMW and the resultant skid had me bumping over the kerb. I felt a check of the suspension, steering and underside would be in order. BMS very promptly had the car on the hoist and checked over, no damage to steering or suspension was found, just two minor scuffs to the underside and a partially detatched shield, both problems quickly fixed. When I asked for the bill I was told 'no charge'.
