i needed some bodywork done for a bonnet dent/scratch caused by a stone thrown up by the road. They couldn't fit me in and were not very helpful, eventually suggesting I contact the body-shop direct. Also I wanted to update the in-car sat-nav, and was told they couldn't get one in for 2 weeks, and that "it will be fine" - when I am about to embark on a European driving holiday.

Brought a Honda civic new. 1st year service done under warranty. 2nd year I had extreme difficulty in removing bottom engine cover bolts for oil change. The car had only covered 4k after two years. Went back to garage and suggested bolts had never been removed for 1st oil change (ie it hadn’t been done). Was shown work sheet with all boxes ticked. Told a common fault, then why didn’t they smear a small amount of grease onto bolts as I have done. These bolts have never given any problems since.

I bought a Jazz from them nearly 3 years ago and have had no problems with servicing. They don't keep you waiting. Nothing's too much trouble. I had fitted a detachable towbar (not a Honda item) and it has been a real problem getting it on and off, but brighton Honda have never given up on it. It's been replaced once; they've adjusted the height; they've used their muscle when mine wasn't adequate, and they've offered me another unit if the problem persists. All at no charge! They smile when they see me walking in - they know why I'm there......The car itself has been a dream.

My 5 year old Honda Jazz developed a whine from the gearbox. Replacement of a worn bearing was estimated at £700. A letter to the Dealer principal resulted in the immediate offer of replacement at no charge. I had originally bought the car 2nd hand at Brighton Honda, and it was well out of both the new and 2nd hand warranties. Well done Brighton Honda!
