Absolute joke of a company, spoke with Lee (workshop manager) about having my BMW 5 series Gearbox serviced, he seemed very knowledgeable and asked me relevant questions regarding my gearbox. Booked in with them 2 weeks prior to having the work done and booked a day off work as I was travelling from Leicester to Huddersfield and they would need the car for a half a day. Arrived on the day of the service at 8am and spent the morning in Huddersfield town centre as there was no waiting area due to covid restrictions. Received a phone call at 10:45am telling me there was a problem and they had ordered the wrong sump gasket and couldn't get another till the next day, I was asked if I could come back the next day to complete the work when the new gasket arrived bearing in my I had just travelled 100 miles and booked a day off work. The answer was obviously no. Imagine a transmission specialist not ordering the right part or having them in stock!! It doesn't fill you with much confidence if they can't even get the basics right and to top it off I didn't even receive an apology when I collected my car. Shocking customer service!!

The day after being instructed the car was picked up from 80 miles away as it was not safely driveable. The same day they rang me with a preliminary assessment, as promised, to say that a full strip down of the automatic gearbox and rebuild was required - as anticipated in fact. 36 hours later they rang me to say the job was done and that the car would be delivered back to me by lunchtime that day - which it was. Not a cheap exercise but comparable with quotes from other like companies.

Horrible and dishonest. Avoid and save your money.

On the 16/2/17 paid £1500 for new clutch & selector. Then 05/12/17 paid £130 to get it recovered to this garage. It was ready 06/01/18 paid £1665 for a new megatronic's.Then 01/02/18 recovered back again. The diff bearing replaced.Andrew the owner said it should be under warranty. But when I collected it was another £733. I was told by the manager lee that only the parts they fit are warranted. ( The bearings should have been noticed on the first repair or debri has got in on the second repair to have only lasted less than a month) Over 4K in less than a year.

Andy diagnosed problem and quoted repair prices over the phone. Car collected same day. Repair was estimated at 4 days. Still havent got car back after 9 days despite payment and a promise to return the car. Big disappointment. In my experience deadlines are optional with this firm. Tread carefully.
