Arnold Clark Volvo Ltd

I took my Volvo in for a warranty repair and when I collected it I was told it was fixed and that they had also fixed a recall issue that I didn’t know about. However, on my journey home the fault returned but because I had a ferry to catch I was unable to return to Arnold Clark. When I got home I phoned AC to complain that the work had not been properly carried out but the receptionist was adamant that I would have to return at my own cost despite the journey involving a £500 round trip !! and without any guarantee that they would carry out the work properly the next time ! I subsequently took the car to a different Volvo main dealer where the fault was quickly traced to a component that should have been replaced by Arnold Clark on my previous visit ! However, this more distant Volvo dealer has not only proven their competence , they backed it up with excellent aftercare. The downside is that I will now have to travel much further for a service BUT the upside is that I will know I can trust the dealer !!
